The Xpeak XML device interface system was created by Cashware which is now called Serquo, a software and technology firm with 30 years of experience. Serquo is a pioneer in the development of websites, the connectivity of financial devices, and payment solutions. The main goal of the Xpeak project is to define a standard for the connectivity of any kind of device (note dispensers, card readers, printers, bar code readers, etc).
The Windows 10 Operating System will be implemented using the software that was created as part of the Open Source project Xpeak.
Using Java and XMPP, Xpeak is an open source project that tries to standardize access to devices. Although Xpeak does not propose any radical new ideas, it does seek to advance previously established norms like CEN/XFS and J/Xfs. Any company is welcome to utilize the Xpeak specifications and the Cashware XPeaker implementation at no cost. Without spending a dime, users may connect gadgets to applications and put them through their paces in testing environments (both real and virtual). The Xpeaker product itself has a few free modules, however the device drivers have two different licensing structures. The alternative license option, Xpeaker Pro, includes support and upgrades.
